Jay Scott Cohen, a beloved father and friend, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on February 12, 1964, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, Jay grew up to serve his country as a proud member of the U.S. Army, where he excelled as a Field Tank Mechanic. After his honorable discharge in 1991, he continued his career as a contractor with KBR and Honeywell, where he dedicated his skills and passion to support the military.

Jay was a man of many interests. He found joy in reading science fiction novels and could often be found lost in tales of intergalactic adventures. He cherished his time spent with his daughter, Amanda, and grandson in Oklahoma, creating memories that his family will always hold dear. A proud dog owner, Jay loved playing with his faithful companion, Pumpkin, bringing light and laughter into their home.

His sense of humor was unmatched, especially when it came to making his daughter laugh. Jay had a knack for finding the funny side of life, and his warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles; he especially loved working on his Corvette. He enjoyed going to the movie theater for the latest Sci-Fi movies with his daughter.

Jay's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of joy, humor, and love will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know him.
