Lauren Sierra Thomas, born on October 3, 2001, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 29, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by her loving mother, Yvonne Thomas, and father, Lawrence Thomas III. Lauren is also remembered and loved by her siblings, Ariana Lee, Tyler Thomas-Baker, Kalin Thomas, and Christopher Smith, along with her brother-in-law Paul Lee, Sr., cherished nephews, Paul Lee, Jr., Payton Lee, Khair Thomas-Baker and her cousin Kourtney Mickens who she loved like a sister.
Lauren moved to Jacksonville, FL with her family in October of 2009. Although she was initially fearful of the ocean, she became a self-taught swimmer who could often be found at the pool. Her passion for swimming provided her with joy and a sense of freedom. Lauren was an engaging individual who enjoyed capturing moments through daily selfies and sharing laughter during family gatherings. A person of faith, Lauren proudly professed her belief in the Father, Son and Holy Spirt alongside her brother, Tyler, at a Baptism at Paramount Church, which reflected her spiritual commitment and connection to her community.
Throughout her life, Lauren worked in the hospitality and marketing industries. Lauren was the person that the managers called when coworkers called out. She would often work alongside her mother at health insurance marketing events. Her warm spirit and vibrant personality will be dearly missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness and enthusiasm. Lauren leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.
Lauren will also be cherished by her grandparents, Mae Barton and LaRom Baker; uncles, Andre Baker, Shawn Thomas, Justin Pollard, Anthony Thompson, William Thomas; aunts, Kamysha Martin, Deandria Williams, Rhonda Thomas, Vanessa Pollard, Michelle Ridgeway and Carol Woodburn.
Lauren was preceded in death by her brother, Adam Ray-Baker; grandparents Maxine Thomas and Lawrence Thomas, Jr.; great grandparents Constance Carr, Mary De Shields, Elizabeth Thompson and Harry G Thompson.
Lauren's Celebration of Life will be held at Paramount Church, 7235 Bentley Rd, Jacksonville, FL, on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
